Nicola & Elpaso End Year On High

Nicola Sime-Riley and Sunny Park Stables Elpaso have ended their incredible year by winning the 2016 Graham Beck 1.50m Show Jumping Championship of South Africa at Shongweni.

The 2016 Nissan SA Outdoor Grand Prix winners were one of twenty-four rider and horse combinations to qualify for the final class of the week.

After a very exciting first round the top 6 combinations progressed to the second round with only Nicola and Amy Engelbrecht riding double clears to advance to the jump-off.

Nicola and Elpaso jumped first and went clear in a time of 43.92 seconds.

Amy and Artav’s Cruise Control then flew around the course and were on track to take the title but unfortunately for them had a pole down at the last jump to end in a fast time of 42.72 seconds but with 4 penalties.
